Google Drive direct download links

Share files without the extra preview page

Google Drive share links usually open a preview page before a visitor can download a file. SnapTools converts a standard share link into a direct download link, so your visitors can get to the file with fewer clicks.

01

Better user experience

Give visitors a clear download path instead of making them navigate a Google Drive preview first.

02

Made for websites

Use the generated URL in a download button, an HTML link, a resource library, or a digital-product page.

03

Useful in emails

Add a download-ready link to newsletters and outreach emails for a smoother handoff to your file.

Frequently asked questions

Why is my direct link not working?

Most often, the file is still set to Restricted. Change its sharing permission to Anyone with the link, then generate a fresh link.

Does this work for files larger than 100MB?

Yes, the direct link is created correctly. Google may still show its virus-scan warning before it downloads larger files; that security screen cannot be bypassed.

Do you store my Google Drive links or files?

No. SnapTools does not store or access your Drive files. Your submitted URL is used only to produce the download-ready link.

Can I use it for Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides?

This tool is best for downloadable files such as ZIPs, PDFs, images, and videos. Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides use their own export URLs and are better shared with their native options.
